The Furren only exist on the second sister planet of Drakor, just a little more further away from the sun but covered in more land. The planet is known as Lutia. Furren are like the mythical centaur, except they can have wolf or lion bottom halves and the top half is always a furre of the same species as the bottom half. They do not exist even in legend, but they have managed to make a society for themselves on Lutia.

The history of the furren began back to before the Great Flood, when Drakor was still mostly covered by land like it's sister planet. Several furres had been interested in the development of technology mixed with magic, and they developed the first 'planetary portals' based off of the dream portals used by most furres of the time. All of those portals led to the neighboring world Lutia, which was terraformed with the help of their magic and scientific ingenuity.

They lived and spread out over Lutia over the next many centuries but lost contact with Drakor when magic on that planet had all died out. They lived in isolation on Lutia for many years before coming into contact with a race of humans and furres from the future. They abducted several of the people and performed genetic experiments on them in an attempt to make them stronger and faster. But when they were found to still possess the same strength and speed as a normal furre, the time travellers stopped their experiments and moved on, carelessly leaving bits and pieces of their technology behind, like communication watches and a few medical technologies like the hyperspray and the laser scapel.

From this, the furren as they came to call themselves would gain technology and start to develop a society technologically parallel to Drakor. But by 2084, they had already begun exploring on shuttle craft outside their planetary orbit and it was by this way that one furren in particular discovered the Kitami Star, the spacecraft of Drakor native Oka Nieba. This furren was labeled a chakat by her society due to a number of genetic differences she had. The differences between the chakats and furren were not great, and there was little to no segregation of the chakats from furren society since they all had to deal with the sudden change in their genetic makeups when the humans from the future began experimenting on them.
