  Isido's history is mostly unknown. However, he had joined the Furcadian Intelligence about a year before the Dark Chapters war started, when he was 21. Oddly enough, some of Amy's resistance fighters (two in fact) seem to recognize Isido.

 He lived in a neighboring town from Siem during the dark chapters but never met Amy as he was working rogue for those years, when the Furcadian Intelligence had been disbanded by Nod agents. He had been everywhere between Varacity and Zero carrying much of his operations up north. But with Ulrich's recent attack on the northern New Haven resistance forces he returned to see his friends dead, even his sister lying dead. His mother was nowhere to be found. His father had long since abandoned his family during the dark chapters and had been killed during the war. He vowed to give Ulrich the same courtesy as he fell back to Meriopolis where he wouldn't be found and could plot his next move.

 He had learned from several various resources that the Nod had built a base embedded into a mountain in the town of Teri, Meriopolis. He infiltrated the base at about the same time Amy Tanner did, and they were both going after the same target: the power rotors in the unfinished parts of the base, which was giving electricity to the rest of the base. After a few moments of distrust, he and Amy worked together and set plastic explosives to the still part of the rotor (the rod which the rotor was attached to was covered in another thicker metal, for safety reasons). Isido escaped along with Amy in a Nod hovercopter, and they destroyed the facility with the missiles on-board. Isido then joined Amy to her resistance headquarters in Siem.

 He was the first to recognize Alissa when Amy and some of her comrades brought in a few of the surviving Union officers: Banjo, Alissa, and Nora. He defended the base valiantly against the Nod probes. When Ulrich stepped out of the hovertransport he used to reach Siem, Isido was elsewhere with the resistance, and thus didn't know of Ulrich joining the resistance. Two men in Amy's resistance force seem to recognize Isido...

 Those two men turned out to be the twin doctors of the group, Harry and Uliere, who were also spies for a group called the Isolationists.  They revealed to Isido that he was in fact a clone of Gyro Clypse, cloned by their organization some time after Gyro's fall during the Nod takeover of their space station. Isido's condition had degraded however without a proper medical treatment required of all clones, and soon he developed a face and body of his own. Along with that, many of his cloned memories began to fade away and were replaced with new ones. Armed with this knew knowledge, he reluctantly left Amy's resistance (after they had grown a strong bond) in order to aid the people that created him.

 They took him to their underground city, and also revealed to them what little they deemed necessary for him to know. While this annoyed Isido to no end, he followed along silently as they brought about their plans, launching a silver missile and using it's special equipment to scan the planet surface for an invisible island. They cloaked the missile as well shortly after takeover, making it invisible to the nearby Station Janice. When they landed on the island, Isido discovered that the old Gyro Corporation had kept and operated a laboratory complex there. Because he still had the subconscious knowledge of Gyro and the same fingerprints, he was able to help the team get by the various security precautions and to the room of the chrono dialer. When several of the Isolationists turned against the others in the name of Gyro, Isido helped Harry and Uliere escape along with himself through the dialer, sending them to over a hundred years in the future.
