:13 years prior to the start of Lost Ages:

 :October 17, 2071:

Death Star 22 tosses the bag of money onto the table in front of him, as he glares at the man who ordered him to gather the money from Ramirez's bank account in return for his daughter's life. He was very angry this time... He wanted to know they didn't hurt his daughter. If they did, they would be in big trouble with Star, and the secret agent wasn't the easiest to beat in any case. "Show me Sadinia," He spoke his daughter's name with a reverance only a single father could have. "Show me she's still okay."

Jason Remin stops himself from touching the bag as it lands with a soft plump onto the glass table. He glances back at the gaurds who were aiming their Neurolasers at Star to make sure the spy wouldn't do anything he would regret. Jason sends the glare right back as if saying the same thing and unclips a scanner from his belt, making sure the bag was genuine with real money, not bombs, and that they weren't all tagged. Finding that the money and bag were all for real and not any sort of Furcadian Spy Agency trap, he pulls the bag in and tosses it to the man behind him, Yuri. He clips the scanner back in place and shoves a hand into one of his pockets while walking along the other side of the table towards Star. "You've just handed us enough money for us to start a small war, you know that don't you?"

Death Star 22's expression didn't change. He was always a tough one to break through, his emotions unwavering in many situations. He didn't quite know how his emotions were handling themselves right now, but he managed to simply ignore the confusion and focus on the present. What needed to be done to get his daughter back... And leave the finding of the CD to somebody else, preferably the CIA. That CD contained information the Nod could use to defeat Vincan forces... An advanced weapon that was going to be built to defeat the Nod was in that, but if the Nod got a hold of it, the world would be lost... And It wouldn't matter if Star died or not. "I'm aware. Show me Sadinia."

Jason Remin smirked, knowing that Star's death wouldn't make much of a difference and it had to come soon anyways. Still, he did have a wierd feeling of deja-vu as he turned. He then motioned to the gaurds. "You'll see her soon, don't worry." He then brought his attention to Yuri. "Make sure Star has our best treatment. Don't want him to get comfortable, do we?" With an expression stating sarcasm he chuckled before leaving, stopping to look back at Star once more. "You'll like what we did to her."

Death Star 22 nearly wheeled under the strength of the two gaurds grabbing his arms and holding them behind him. When he heard Jason he nearly lurched forward in anger and horror. "If you put one hand on her, I'll kill you!" He yelled in frustration. Finally gathering himself back together he watched Yuri quietly while waiting for the man who threatened his daughter's life to leave. His head began to constrict in the form of a massive headache. He could feel why, he had the worst feeling and his blood pressure was probably rising, his face turning all red along with his biceps stretching under the strength he was being held down with.

Yuri Terrel holds the still and patient look of any self-respecting Acropolis man. His people were very disciplined and had always been some of the toughest warriors since the beginning of time. He took pride in knowing his strength went to his honor as an individual, and to the betterment of his society by way of the single Emperor in the government at the time. He was Nod, as were many of his friends. He wished the majority of Acropolis could see what kind of power and aid the Nod would bring to the world. He hopes one day he'll be able to show them. He then looks at Star through korean-like eyes, but they were light grey due to the genetic engineering he was put through.

Death Star 22 tries to balance himself amidst the stumbling of the two gaurds. They were huge compared to him and also looked to be from Acropolis. He knew exactly how their society worked... A foundation of honor for the emperor and themselves, and their children are trained from the day they are born to be warriors... At least the boys were. They fought against one another and were beaten by their parents to teach them how to keep from flinching from pain. Very morbid, Star thought, but it really did make their people some of the most dangerous around. They didn't give mercy and they certainly wouldn't accept weakness.

Yuri Terrel looks over the gaurds real quick and weilds his own weapon, a Glock 18 fully automatic pistol. The sleek black coating and the silver metal barrel loom dangerously in his hand. He cradles it carefully in his hands as though it was the only friend he could count on any longer. With one swift movement of his hand he loads a magazine and flips the safety off. He speaks very little, only when he really needed to. Seeing Star for the last time, he tried to find something to say to the 'legendary' agent. Since he never met the agent before though he didn't know what to say. So with one small laugh as he turns to look at the wall he throws his arm around with the butt of the pistol at Star's neck.

Death Star 22 lurched back as the pistol came straight at him, but unable to dodge it from the power the gaurds were holding him down with he felt the hard metal smash into the back of his neck. He was pretty sure from the pain it nearly chipped a part of his upper spinal cord but there wasn't much he could do about it in his state. A direct hit in the neck with the power Yuri put into it would immediately severe connection with the brain for a short time, knocking Star out could and leaving a massive bruise under his jacket collar. He goes limp in the arms of the gaurds.

Yuri Terrel wipes a hand over his bald head, staring at the agent he had just taken down. It wouldn't be long when the Nod wouldn't need him anymore. He actually calms down and laughs despite himself while pointing the gun down the hallway to signal the gaurds to move. He then takes a breath and begins to follow the gaurds with Star, shutting the hard metal door behind him. Underground, things were a lot less technological and easy to get away with. It was difficult getting the electricity through the oddly electric-proof soil that would negate most electric wires and radio signals quickly. He stops and watches the gaurds throw Star into an old dungeon cell and then he locks the door with a heavy rusty key before leaving.

Gyro Clypse stares in fascination at the CD he was holding right now, letting it shine in the light for a few seconds more before he sees one of his men come forward. Quietly listening to the message he turns back to his chair and places the disc securely in a special armchair disc reader before sitting down and folding out a small LCD screen on one of the armrests. Clicking a button and ignoring the stress the other officers seemed to emit in the control room of the giant space station, he sees who appeared on the screen. "Jason, what's the report?"

Jason Remin holds up the bag of money in front of the camera before lowering it again. "Adan killed Ramirez right? Star still went and found the money. Look," He pulls out a collection of the dollars. "All 6 billion. You wanted to see how badly Star wanted his daughter back? I'd say pretty badly." He puts the bag down and straightens his jacket in the cold air of the city. Behind him cars could be seen moving freely amongst the unjammed roads. He was downtown of the city Yian. His underground base of operations was in the abandoned part of the city where mercenaries and such resided.

Gyro Clypse didn't notice the city life behind Jason as he was busy thinking to himself. The clone of Star's daughter was so simple, he wondered why Star didn't even think once that his 'daughter' was really just another clone of theirs. Maybe it wouldn't matter. A clone is human/furre as well. It reminded Gyro of many years back when he was just about to be wedded... Then he stopped himself from thinking that far back and tried to focus on the present. "This was too easy. I wonder if Star is planning something else?" He looked at the CD on his armrest and then back at the LCD. "We should give Star what he wants to see... His daughter."

Jason Remin nodded and turned to look behind him as though he was just expecting Star to rush through the door with a gun. It seemed the agent was a master escape artist and even better at making sure his targets were dead before dawn. Despite what his son thought, Star still possessed a great strength about him that Jason feared. But fear only makes one stronger. "Yes sir. We have the clone..." He stopped himself for a second wondering if it would be right to joke. "But what about the money? We have no use for it do we?"

Gyro Clypse laughs with a great satisfaction. If stealing money was this easy, he wondered why thieves had such a hard time doing it. "No, we don't. We're an organization bent on changing the world. We have our equipment and we never had use for money, besides what we can take ourselves. I see no reason to take money stolen by somebody else. Against our principles." He partly smirks though it did occur to him that it really wasn't something the Nod would do. Too barbaric and even worse: useless. He didn't want to give the Nod any worse of a name than the Union already gave them. No good can come out of proving an enemy right. "Dispose of it and show Star the girl."

Jason Remin concurs and picks up the bag once more. "It will be done." He disconnects the channel and walks back to his car, tossing the bag into the trunk and closing it while getting in the backseat and looking over at Ulrich. "We need to get rid of the money. Take us to North Hamptis Bridge." While Ulrich gets prepared to do that, he unlinks his cellphone from the back of the chair. The one in his jacket was for emergency cases only and the Nod monitored what phones the calls they recieved came from. He dialed up Yuri. "Show him the girl." He closes it and waits until their at location.

Ulrich Parques slows the car down before they came to the bridge. They were back in the wilderness that was the ghetto of the city. He sweeps the area with his eyes very cautiously trying to catch even the slightest hint of another person or a weapon. Mercenaries only killed for money but some were psychos and he didn't trust any of them, although he remembered what it was like to be one. Then he steps out of the car with an AMT Hardballer .45 ACP semi-auto pistol. Weapons were a specialty of his, and he had this pistol since he joined the Nod. With it he fought Star on the Nod's sea base and defended his family from police brutality. He opens the door for Jason and stands at the railing.

Jason Remin steps out without even bothering to unholster his own pistol. He had a lot of faith in Ulrich, as the man is known as the best sharpshooter in all of Nod. Jason knew Yuri was the best in hand-to-hand and interrogation. Jason's own specialty in the Nod was getting what he wanted, which made him the best choice as leader of this mission. His ability to do almost anything has led him to a position as leader of the Ghosts. He attributed this to his many years spent in virtual reality training and survival courses. He opens the trunk and pulls the heavy bag out, the weight not even phasing him. He stops when he sees someone walking up behind him.

Ulrich Parques immediately turns to see the person and noticing the long black leather jacket the man wore, he quickly brought his AMT up to bear with the approaching stranger. He wouldn't fire unless attacked or ordered, but the man he was aiming for looked just like most Central Intellegence agents, and there were no previous schedules for a meeting between two Nod officers in the cold mist of day near the bridge. "Hold it" He warned in a strong voice, his intuition telling him to identify the target. He also had the ability to tell by somebody's eyes when they were hostile. He couldn't tell but he didn't stay confused for long or that would give the stranger an advantage if he decided to take advantage of the two.

Yuri Terrel pulls the metal chair with him to the dark dungeon cell Star was going to be staying for the rest of his lifetime. A small amount of sunlight was peering through the mist outside and the barred hole in the ceiling that was going to be Star's only source of light for a long time to come. Stopping some distance away from Star he swung the chair around so his daughter, who was sitting in it, would be face-to-face with her father. He grinned in what was to be a compliment or maybe sympathy, but it was gone shortly after replaced with a strong and serious face which was staring down at the defeated form of Star.

Death Star 22 took a deep breath as he shook from weakness. The blood trickled off his forehead onto the rocky ground he was forced to sit on, his wrists locked tightly behind him with tough chains on the floor. His jacket had been removed and his grey shirt underneath was torn in some places showing great scars and bruises where the men had released their anger and stress on him. Slowly lifting his head, refusing to give in to the physical weakness he was in, he looked at his daughter in the chair. "Sadinia..." He whispered like he was trying to speak.

Yuri Terrel continued to watch with his hands held tightly at his sides, not moving to any gust that blew through the hole above. Sadinia's head was down, her long meddled hair covering her face. Yuri could tell how harshly he and the gaurds had treated her, the gashes in her clothing had blood that had dried up and yet there was still some signs of live blood. That wouldn't be true to Sadinia herself however, as her heart gave out during the interrogation. Her hair and the bruises she sustained were almost totally black now. He walked up and pulled her head up moving her hair out of the way. Her face was pale and dry blood hung down her eyes, nose, and lips. Her eyes were turned up in different directions with an expression of twisted pain. "She called your name before she died."

Death Star 22 shook even more now. He was so weak after what the gaurds did he could barely get off any tears or screams. But he summoned up enough strength to release a terrible yell of anger and sadness. "Why??" He screamed out in frustration at the Acropolis native. "She was still young! She had nothing to do with this!!!" He gritted his teeth so hard he could feel the pain from his jaw muscles straining up to his head, giving him an even worse headache than he had before. "You'll pay for this! You hear me?!?" He grunts under the pain it took to yell like that. "You bastard!!!" He spit out blood from where they had hit him so hard, he drew blood from his own tongue.

Yuri Terrel didn't smile or laugh this time. He knew what it was like to lose someone but he never had any emotion about it. He had become so darkened by his past, he only dismissed death as natural. If it didn't come then, it would come later, there was no way to escape it. No matter what it didn't matter if he killed someone because if they survived he knew they would just die another day anyways. His soul had been tortured for so long under the pressure of killing so many, but it was the only talent he could use anymore, and one the Nod had great use for. He threw her head forward once more and leaves the cell, posting the gaurds outside, to leave Star with his daughter.

Death Star 22 was breathing heavily now and a tear made it's way down his bloodied cheek. He didn't want to think or want to feel. It was almost as terrible as seeing Rebecca die or watching his parents get killed by armored gaurds. He stayed still sitting with the chains preventing him from moving her hair out of her face so he could see it once more. His daughter died in his arms when she was 12 by a mysterious sniper at a horse ranch she was staying at. Now to see her die again. It was much different than the other deaths. He suddenly forgot everything... His engagement with Nathyrra and his life in the FSA. Nothing mattered anymore. He put his head to hers, closing his eyes and silently crying.

*****************

Gyro Clypse entered the laboratories where Star was being held at the time. He had received a report over an hour ago about the agent nearly dying. He was amazed to hear that they managed to keep him alive but they required some advanced facilities, and not willing to risk the Ghost bases on the ground, they brought him to the station. He looked over the facilities and headed over to the metal table Star would be laying. The medical labs were always dark and lighted with the darkest blue lights. It was a wonder the doctors could work in the dark, but it seemed to make them more precise and careful. "How's the patient?"

Purity Halli shrugs while searching the computer screen for any anomolies. The scans weren't picking anything unusual up, but: "Look at his neural scan that I took a while ago." She then opens the results of a similar scan on another screen. "This is the scan Jason took when he collapsed. His neurons somehow severed a nerve collection around his heart and lungs making it impossible for him to breath. I don't know how it happened, there was no implants involved or anything. We managed to push the neurons back into place, but the damage has already been done. His body rejects every medication we give him and hooking him up with some cybernetic implants would take too long."

Gyro Clypse sighs and runs his hand along his chin, scrubbing at the nonexistant beard, in some deep thought. What the scans looked like appeared to be similar to something else he had seen before, he just couldn't put a finger to it. He didn't pretend to understand it either though and he finally put his hands back behind him while walking to the head of the bed and looking down at the unconcious Star. "No... I think I see why." He then looked up at Purity for a second and then walked across the lab to the nearest communications panel which he activates. "Get me in touch with Jason Remin on the surface."

Jason Remin connected to his desk comm and folded the headphones on. He turned only for a split second as he was working on a very important matter and speaks off-screen to someone. Finally he smirks and looks down at the display. "Sir, I would like to report we've got an ally. He says we've scared the government into nearly giving into our demands. We have a chance to get what we want in less than a year sir, and that isn't long compared to how long we've waited." He looked excited at the proposition he was given but it was Gyro's final say that had full power.

Gyro Clypse stopped himself for a second before speaking, wondering if what Jason was speaking would bring something important... Then he decides to just ignore it and continue to what he called for. "There's a good chance either you both were being too rough with our captured agent or you simply put him through so much stress his heart is going out!" He yells at Jason furiously. He did order them to show Star his dead daughter, but he was pretty sure Jason's apprentice Yuri had something to do with making Star suddenly give out like that. "Keep that beast under control Jason, or I'll have your head next time. We'll talk about this chance later... After Star recovers." He abruptly ends the communication and walks back to the medical table. "What can be done for him?"

Purity Halli shakes her head and puts her hands in the pockets of her long white doctor's jacket. Her hands were gloved as she was dealing with the bloody mess of Star. "That interrogation master must be good. With this much damage, he could get almost anything he wanted out of this man." She throws a hand through her short blonde hair and turns to start working at a computer keyboard. "But there's nothing we wanted out of him, was there? Look - Even his mind was affected to a point he could really just let himself die. While that's a good torture method, I wouldn't make a habit out of it." She turned to Gyro.

Gyro Clypse sighs loudly so to show everyone in the room his frustration on purpose. It was difficult knowing he had got what he wanted yet for some reason he couldn't stomach it. If the Nod hadn't become such a powerful organization in the first place, if it had never rose to any form of power, Gyro could still be leading the Gyro Corps. He remembers him and Star's final battle and how he escaped back in time, only to find he couldn't stop the Nod from growing at that time and he couldn't go any further back in time... Even worse knowing he had to join the people who destroyed his heavily worked on organization.

Purity Halli continues working quickly and quietly on her computer until something catches her attention. A beep that was beeing held out in one long straight cord. "He's going into cardiac arrest!" She called over to one of the doctors to retrieve the defibrilators and she quickly began to blow through Star's mouth and pushing at his chest in the basic CPR fashion. "The defribs will take ten seconds to charge! Nurse, get it ready!" She continued her pattern of CPR for some time while looking at Gyro. "This is the third time!"

Death Star 22 could no longer hear, feel, or even think. Though, as it were, he was in a dream... Not of his past. There was nothing to remember of then. Only his meeting Nathyrra made him feel happy... But would he ever respond to the deep love he held of her? He thought promising to marry her would be the solution. It was... But since he never did get the chance to marry her, they still seemed far apart. This only further hurt Star... His memory flashes back to that of Sadinia's lifeless face and then to his fight with Gyro... From his mission at the Ice Base, which had him in a massive car chase while dodging the Ion Cannon's beam, to the stillness of those nights he had alone in his mountain home in Meriopolis, staring out at the stars... He didn't want any part of it anymore...

Purity Halli quickly rubbed the two defibrillators together as quickly as she could trying to get it so the gel-chemical would be well spread across the surface of each pad. She then set them over the chest of her patient and yelled "Clear!" while the machine sent a volt into the patient, pulling the man's chest up and then letting it fall right back down, like there was a magnetic attraction with the pads. Seeing no change in his heartbeat, she tries one more time. "Clear!" She lets the defibrilators do it's work.

Death Star 22 would only jump as defibrilators do to most people, but he still was technically dead... The heartrate didn't rise anymore... He was still in cardiac arrest, and was going as dangerously low as 4 heartbeats per minute until finally his heart just gave way. He let himself die... He knew he was alone. Not truly who he wished he was, Star knew there was nothing left for him. Nothing that could make him wish to live, nor try to... He had done what he had come there to do, to find Sadinia. And if she was dead, then there was no use in continuing this mission... This was what he was supposed to do. Aside from the mission, there was nothing else he could do. And he even failed that... With one last release of air from his mouth, he let himself die.

Gyro Clypse stares at the lifeless corpse of what was once Star. "Get rid of that noise." He speaks without looking up. Star was gone, and they would all have to deal with it. But Gyro wouldn't... With Star's death, Gyro had another chance, though he wished he could have had more time to study and make sure everything would go as planned. He reaches into his jacket and pulls out a tiny syringe that looked like it hadn't been used in a long time. He stabbed it through Star's neck and then released a chemical, finally tossing it to the ground and looking back down at the face of his fallen enemy. "I wish I didn't have to do this so suddenly..." With a sigh, he reaches down and touches Star's heart. Slowly Gyro watches his arm fade into a clear liquid color and soon his entire body is clear. He looks up at Purity. "Look after everything while I'm gone." And he finally fades into nothing.
