History
Gyro Clypse was foiled in his attempt to kill off every living person in the world and replace them with 'perfect' clones. When he escaped the capture of his space stations, Star was waiting for him. A chase started, as Star tried to catch and arrest the man that threatened the whole world, but the chase ended with Gyro Clypse traveling back in time to change the past. What Gyro Clypse didn't know was that he didn't change the past, only created a new timeline of events in the Original Series and Lost Ages. The original timeline continues on with Gyro Clypse's disappearance with the time machines being covered up, with only Jerome Star remembering the event.
The Nod were foiled in their own attempts as well. The Vinca Union captured the space stations and arrested everyone in the Nod. Only three Nod agents on the surface avoided capture before kidnapping Star's adopted daughter Sadinia from her home and using her as a hostage, only to kill her before Star arrived with the money they asked for. They also had the Ark, a golden disc with top secret information that could be put to use against the Vinca Union. They tried to force Star into choosing one or the other... Star chose his daughter. But when he found out that they had killed her, even though he was overcome with grief, he remembered Gyro Clypse's time machines. He escaped capture and also stole back the Ark, which he returned to the CIA. Still, his actions proved he held his emotions higher than his duty, and he was fired from his job as leader of the FSA and forbidden to return to government work until deemed prudent.
Now, Star is on a mission. To find those time machines, go into the past, save his daughter, and bring her into the future where he can finally settle down and live a normal life without the Nod or the time machines.
